Established in 2002, York City Supporters' Trust is one of over 100 football supporter Trusts in England & Wales. Like many Supporters' Trusts, we were born out of a financial crisis facing our club when former chairman Douglas Craig put York City FC up for sale. The Trust acquired the football club in 2003 and we are currently 25% owners, following the transfer of shares to JM Packaging Ltd, a company owned by the current chairman. As custodians of the club, our principle role is to help build a strong relationship between our members, the wider community, the football club and its owners.
