We have some important updates to share regarding our ongoing Advisory Vote, including the announcement of our Q&A event and an extension to the membership joining deadline.

Q&A Event – Wednesday 27th May, Spark York

We are pleased to confirm that our Advisory Vote Q&A event will take place on Wednesday 27th May at Spark York, with doors opening at 19:00 and proceedings beginning at 19:30. We’re delighted to be returning to Spark, a venue that has served us well for events like this in the past and allows us to stream the evening live for members who are unable to attend in person. In keeping with our formal SGM format, the Q&A will take place on the final evening of the voting period, with the results of the Advisory Vote announced on the night.

Tickets – Members Only

This event is strictly for Trust Members only, in line with the Advisory Vote process. Tickets will be required for both in-person and online attendees so that we can confirm membership in advance. Tickets will be made available via Eventbrite at lunchtime on Thursday 21st May. Please look out for the link which will be emailed to all members at that time. There are 60 in-person tickets available, allocated on a first-come first-served basis – so we’d encourage members to act promptly when the link goes live.

Members wishing to attend virtually via Zoom must ensure they use the same email address associated with their Trust membership for both their Eventbrite booking and when joining the Zoom call. This allows us to confirm membership ahead of the event. Anyone attempting to join using an unassociated email address will not be admitted.

Submitting Questions in Advance

We want to give every member the opportunity to have their questions heard, whether or not they are able to attend on the night. Members are encouraged to submit questions in advance via our dedicated Microsoft Form, a link to which will be provided to all members alongside the Eventbrite ticket link on Thursday 21st May. The Trust Board will review all questions submitted and will do its best to address as many as possible during the Q&A session. If you are attending in person or virtually on the night, there will also be an opportunity to ask questions live during the event.

Extended Joining Deadline

Thanks to advancements in our membership processing, we are pleased to confirm that the deadline to join the Trust and be eligible to take part in the Advisory Vote has been extended. Fans now have until 8pm on Tuesday 26th May to join the Trust and receive access to the full member briefing pack and their unique voting link. This is a significant extension from the original deadline and we hope it gives as many York City fans as possible the opportunity to be part of this important process. Join the Trust here.

Updated Vote Closing Time

In light of the Q&A event taking place on the final evening of the voting period, the Advisory Vote closing time has been updated. The vote will now close at 9:30pm on Wednesday 27th May, or 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Q&A, whichever is the later. Members attending the Q&A in person will have the opportunity to cast their vote on the night.
