The York City Supporters Trust would like to provide an update regarding the release of our report on the incidents surrounding the Hartlepool vs. York City match on January 27, 2024. Initially, we intended to release the report on Wednesday this week; however, after sharing an advanced copy with involved parties, we have received additional information that has led us to delay the release.

This new information, provided by one of the involved organisations, goes beyond the events of that day. It includes details of actions taken since the match and offers important context and insights that add depth and clarity to the incident analysis. By incorporating this into our report, we believe it will strengthen the understanding of the challenges faced, provide a more balanced perspective, and emphasise the steps that have been taken toward positive change.

Our goal is for this report to foster collaboration among all stakeholders and lead to outcomes that benefit supporters and enhance the match day experience for all fans. With this in mind, we are now aiming to release the final report one week later on Wednesday 20th November.

We appreciate your patience as we finish this document and work toward a comprehensive report that reflects the interests of all parties involved.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
