We are delighted to announce that the Trust is sponsoring the 50:50 draw at Paddy McLaughlin’s testimonial match against Peterborough United on Tuesday the 28th of July – with a guaranteed minimum prize of £500.
The pre-season fixture kicks off at 7.30pm at the LNER Community Stadium and brings the curtain down on Paddy’s testimonial year. Whatever the final ticket sales on the night, one lucky supporter will go home with at least £500 – whilst helping us say thank you to a true club legend.
A decade of service
Paddy has been a cornerstone of York City across two spells and more than ten years with the club.
He was an integral part of the side that won at Wembley twice in a week in 2012, returned to play an important role in promotion from the National League North, and was part of the squad again last season for his third promotion with the club – contributing off the pitch and in the dressing room every bit as much as on it.
Tuesday night is the final chance to see Paddy pull on a York City shirt. We are calling on all City fans, past and present, to pack the LNER and give him the send-off his service deserves.
The team will wear one-off commemorative shirts on the night, to be auctioned after the match in aid of Paddy’s testimonial fund and his chosen charity, Menfulness.

Match tickets are available now from the York City ticket office. 50:50 tickets will be on sale around the ground on the night – look out for the sellers before kick-off.
