We are sorry to announce that Terry Espiner has resigned from the Trust Board, in order to focus on his other volunteer commitments where he hopes to have greater impact. Terry has been an active member of the Board since his election at the AGM in October 2024, and we would like to thank him for all his hard work.
Terry conceived and delivered our event marking the anniversary of the 1955 FA Cup run, bringing together more than forty supporters who were at the semi-final against Newcastle United. Renew Your Vows began as an idea at his hustings and became a campaign that raised over £5,000 towards the youth team minibus, and he has been a consistent supporter of Project 2000 throughout.
Terry said: “I look back fondly on being a voice for change — delivering the 54–55 event for Dave Smith and the forty-odd fans who were there at Hillsborough, delivering on my hustings idea around Renew Your Vows, and supporting the Project 2000 campaign as well as I could. I wish my colleagues the very best moving forward.”
Trust chair Seth Sowerby commented: “Terry joined the Board determined to be a voice for change, and he was exactly that. The 54–55 event and Renew Your Vows were both his ideas, and both happened because he made them happen. We shall miss his contributions and wish him well with everything he takes on next.”
