York City Supporters Trust (YCST) has been made aware of a ticketing error that has left a number of loyal York City supporters without their tickets for our upcoming away game at Grimsby Town.

The Trust is appalled by this inexcusable error. Many of those affected bought their tickets in good faith, and many will already have arranged travel, time off work and accommodation to follow the team. To have their tickets taken away through no fault of their own is simply not good enough.

Fans deserve answers, and we will ensure they get them.

We have contacted the Stadium Management Company (SMC) to request an urgent meeting. We want to establish how this error happened, what is being done to put it right for the supporters affected, and what steps will be taken so that it cannot happen again.

Have you been affected?

If you have lost your tickets for the Grimsby game because of this error, please email info@ycst.org.uk with your name, contact details and the number of tickets affected.

Every account helps us make the case on your behalf, so please get in touch even if you have already raised it elsewhere.

We will update supporters as soon as we have more information. In the meantime, YCST will continue to work with York City FC to support those affected.
