The Supporters’ Trust are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our former chairman John Lacy yesterday. Our thoughts and condolences are with John’s family and friends at this very sad time. We will do all that we can to wrap our arms around you.
John was a lifelong supporter of the club going back to the 1950s and in recent years worked tirelessly to reignite the Supporters’ Trust movement. He was a truly passionate, charismatic, and caring man whose warmth should be an inspiration to us all.
John was not just our chairman, but a dearly loved friend to so many of us. We will miss you so much and promise to do everything we can to protect the football club you so deeply cherished.
