York City Supporters Trust are delighted to announce details of an event celebrating one of the greatest results in the history of York City FC.
On Saturday 20th September, it will be exactly 30 years since York City stunned the football world with a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford in the League Cup. It was a result which propelled the club and its players into the national media spotlight.
Every member of that squad has been invited to the LNER Community Stadium for the home fixture against Solihull Moors on the anniversary. Also expected to be in attendance are Sue Little, wife of the late Alan Little, Assistant Manager Derek Bell, and former BBC Radio York Sports Editor and commentator Alastair Yeomans.
Also invited, as a thank for backing the York City Supporters Trust, are sponsors and donors from the 1955 FA Cup Semi-Final anniversary event held in March this year.
For just £45 per person, York City Supporters Trust members have the opportunity to join them on the day to celebrate this fabulous achievement.
This includes:
- Access to the stadium via our red-carpet hospitality entrance
- Interviews with players from 1995, as well as reliving memorable moments from the match.
- Pitch-facing bar with outstanding panoramic views across the LNER Community Stadium
- Street food voucher for meal of choice from LNER Lounge
- First drink voucher
- Upgrade to centrally located executive padded seats – the best view in the house! (Azuma East Stand)
- Post-Match MOTM Presentation available to access in the LNER Lounge
- Complimentary Matchday Programme and Official Team sheet
- Dress code is Smart Casual. Gym wear is not permitted in hospitality, and you may be refused entry. YCFC replica shirts are permitted, and encouraged!
Please note this is a YCST members only event. The price has already been discounted, so season ticket holders will not receive further discount. All guests will be allocated a hospitality seat.
If you are not yet a member of the York City Supporters Trust, join here for just £10 per year.
Places are limited to just 40, so please email james.richardson@ycst.org.uk on a first come, first served basis, to register your interest ASAP. You’ll be sent details of how to pay, which will reserve your tickets.
