We are delighted to announce that, despite the initial setback of no bus service for the upcoming York City vs Gateshead game on New Year’s Day, a collaborative effort between York City Supporters Trust (YCST), York City Football Club (YCFC), and our incredible club sponsor, York Pullman, has resulted in a timely solution.
York Pullman has once again demonstrated their unwavering support for our fans by swiftly stepping in to provide transportation between Stonebow and the LNER Community Stadium for the New Year’s Day fixture. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to York Pullman for their generosity and commitment to ensuring our supporters can enjoy the game hassle-free.
We remind our fans that York Pullman, as the club’s trusted travel partners, also provides away day travel to our team and fans. In the spirit of the season, both YCST and YCFC have covered the costs of this special service, making it free for all fans to use. However, with the aim of spreading joy beyond the pitch, we encourage supporters using the service to contribute cash donations for local food banks. Let’s come together as a community and make a positive impact beyond the beautiful game.
The service will be operational from 13:00, two hours before kick-off, and continue for 2 hours after the final whistle. We appreciate the understanding and support of our dedicated fanbase and look forward to a fantastic and hopefully successful game on New Year’s Day.

In addition to the service, YCST have been working closely with the Stonebow group, owners of the Stonebow pub located near the pick-up point on Stonebow. The Stonebow pub, a fan-friendly establishment, is a great location for a pre-match lunch en route to the game.
