York City are recruiting a team of volunteers to assist with swapping pitch-side advertising boards. Sign up to help the club and receive free match tickets for your time.

YCFC and York Knights each sell individual advertising boards that are sited around the perimeter wall to maximise commercial income for both clubs. These boards stay in place during the season from match to match, however, when the Football and Rugby seasons overlap the boards need swapping to reflect the playing club’s advertisers. The seasons tend to overlap between July to September and April to May.

Applicants will join a pool of volunteers we can call upon to help insert or remove our Boards. Each time the boards need switching over we’ll organize a team of four people, coordinated via a WhatsApp group. The job takes about an hour to put them out and half an hour to bring them in, timings are flexible but would need to be whilst the stadium is open. Each volunteer will receive a free match ticket as a thank you for their help when they step in to insert and remove the boards.

To volunteer you need to be over 16, full training will be provided.
