The York City Supporters Trust Board is pleased to announce that it is seeking the advice of its members on a proposal that represents a significant and exciting step forward for York City Football Club.
The Trust Board has unanimously voted to put a package of investment agreements to its membership for their consideration. The proposals involve the introduction of new shareholders into the football club, a substantial financial commitment to club infrastructure, provision for the Uggla family to increase their shareholding in York City Football Club, and a series of governance changes that further strengthen and protect the rights of the Supporters Trust for years to come.
In keeping with the Trust’s commitment to member-led decision making, the details of the proposal have been shared exclusively with Trust members, who are being asked to cast an advisory vote between now and 8pm on Wednesday 27th May 2026.
Trust Vice Chair Jim Calverley said: “This is a genuinely exciting moment for York City Football Club and we are proud to be bringing it to our members in the way that we always do — openly, transparently, and with supporters at the heart of the process. The package we are putting to members includes real and meaningful investment into the football club alongside significant strengthening of the Trust’s own rights and protections. We look forward to hearing the views of our membership.”
